Wednesday, 27th of June 2018, was indeed a great one for the people of Abia State and Nigeria at large as Business man Lucky Igbokwe popularly known as Don Lulu celebrated his birthday with the official launch of his foundation- DON LULU FOUNDATION at the Central School in Ohuhu Umuahia North Local Government Area.
An important highlight of the ceremony was the commissioning of projects executed by the foundation. On hand to officially commission them was Senator T.A Orji (Ochendo) (The former governor of Abia state and present lawmaker representing Abia Central at the Senate). Projects commissioned were a foundation laying for a block of classrooms at the Central School, Umuawa Alaocha, Ohuhu Umuahia North LGA, three two bedroom completed bungalow houses built for the less privileged, a 300pm Megawatts capacity of electricity power transformer, a 40 million Naira interest free revolving loan facility accessible to artisans and traders, as well as the empowerment of widows and physically challenged.
The ceremony was also attended by top dignitaries including Hon. Kelechi Onuzuruike (Member representing Umuahia North State Constituency in the Abia State House Of Assembly), Deacon Iyke Kalu aka Etekebe (Billionaire Business man) and a host of others. Top celebrities in the entertainment industry present were DJ Jimmy Jatt -the official DJ for the event, Jaywon, MC Galaxy, Ruff Coin Nwaba, Big Brother Naija housemate Teddy A and 2Flame Entertainment latest artist Medley who all gave exciting performances.
While the United Nations Polac was also on hand to hoist the United Nations Flag in his residence in recognition of Mayor Lucky Igbokwe’s attainment of highest level of global peace advocacy.
